This training explains the different types of capacities and how they are commonly used in organizations. Participants will be able to understand the relevance of capacity planning and how capacity affects the organization’s operation. Participants will also gain knowledge on how capacity helps determine production plans or service schedules.

Concepts and a few exercises on capacity planning will be shared: from the “strategic” perspective, by analyzing the key steps of the resource planning process in organizations; from the “tactical” perspective by analyzing the rough-cut capacity calculation for a specific process; and from the “execution” perspective by developing and calculating load and capacity profiles for one or a series of work centers.
