SUMMARY:Metroplex Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Fall 2025
DESCRIPTION:Master Black Belts play a critical role in deployment of a successful Lean Six Sigma Program. We are excited to offer this course both in-person and online this spring. The course helps develop three of the competencies every MBB needs: \n\nThe ability to instruct others in LSS tools\, methods and concepts\nThe ability to coach other Belts to help them achieve better results faster\nThe ability to provide deeper understanding of technical concepts and tools\n\nThis is a very rigorous class that solidifies technical ability and classroom mechanics for successful instruction and coaching of candidate Black Belts and Green Belts. Participants will: \n\nDevelop in-depth understanding of LSS tools and methods through extensive technical case studies\, ‘deep dives\,’ and hands-on exercises\nDevelop knowledge of how to deliver classroom training\nBecome more confident as an instructor through practice in a safe environment\nLearn methods for coaching GBs/BBs to help them complete projects faster\n\nCertification as a Master Black Belt is typically a combination of technical training combined with demonstrated application such as instructing / mentoring belts and leading major projects. \nLean Six Sigma Master Black Belt is a 3 week class (1 week every month for 3 consecutive months). \n  \nLSS Master Black Belt Schedule: \n\nWeek 1: SEP 8 – 12\nWeek 2: OCT 6 – 10\nWeek 3: NOV 3 – 7\n\nWeekly Class Times (Subject to change at instructor’s discretion) \nMonday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. \nTuesday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. \nFriday: 8:00 a.m. – Noon (or until weekly exam is complete) \n**Includes a mid-day break for students to enjoy a catered lunch daily. \n  \nInstructor approval is required prior to registration for this course. DESCRIPTION:TMAC’s Lean Six Sigma Program provides a systematic approach to combine the \nwaste elimination methods of Lean with the variation reduction toolset of Six Sigma. \nThe DMAIC process provides the overarching structure for project management\, which \nhelps insure that solutions are sustainable. Students learn through a combination of \nlecture\, student project presentations\, exercises\, case studies\, and simulations. \nInstructors emphasize practical application of tools and methods. \nThe median payback for TMAC Black Belt projects is $144\,500/year. \nThe LSS Black Belt class is a rigorous course incorporating both Basic and Advanced \nproblem-solving methods. Based on Training Within Industry (TWI) job instruction and job relation programs. TWI is an improvement process that addresses the essential skills needed by supervisors (anyone leading others) and is a means to sustain improvements and achieve standard work.
