His background as a small business owner and manufacturing engineer in the defense industry bring him a good understanding of the daily issues and pressures organizations face to remain competitive. Kurt presents a holistic, integrated approach advocating Sustainable Manufacturing practices (economic, environmental, and social). His career efforts have helped organizations save over 28.6 million in savings.

As an Industrial Engineer, he optimizes complex processes, systems, or organizations to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value.
As a Sustainable manufacturing advocate he teaches organizations to create manufactured products through economically-sound processes that minimize negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources.
As an Environmental Management System (EMS) implementer he develops processes and practices that enable an organization to reduce its environmental impacts and increase its operating efficiency.
He has 17 years of training and on-site delivery for assessments including: EPA Green Suppliers Network, E3: Economy, Energy and Environmental Assessments, DOE energy assessments, RoHS, WEEE and REACH.
Kurt is also a US Green Building LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Professional currently working on efforts to help its customers reduce or eliminate negative environmental impacts, reduce operating costs and increase workers’ productivity through high-performance, market-leading designs and buildings.

Kurt has worked in as an Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, a Business Owner / Operator and has been with TMAC for over 20 years.
Kurt has worked with municipalities, universities, colleges and manufacturers and has provided training on “Lean, Environmental and Sustainability” to organizations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Ireland.
