As an Industrial Engineer, Kurt has manufacturing experience including purchasing, facility layout, time studies, cycle time reduction, work cell creation, bar coding, inspection, kitting, assembly, production scheduling, assembly supervision, assembly liaison, billing responsibilities, process mapping reviews, chemical waste disposal, warehousing and logistics.
He has seven years as a business owner and has experience with business operations including marketing, programming, sales, accounting, fitness training, facilities management and general operations.
He has 10 years of experience working with ISO 14000 Environmental Management Systems, ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems and ISO 50000 Energy Management Systems.
He has 12 years of training and on-site delivery for assessments of several EPA programs including the Green Suppliers Network and the E3: Economy, Energy and Environmental Assessment.
He also has several years of experience in general Industry safety training, DOE energy assessments and environmental directives such as RoHS, WEEE and REACH.
Kurt is a US Green Building LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Professional currently working on efforts to help its customers understand the value of the LEED Green Building System to substantially reduce or eliminate negative environmental impacts, reduce operating costs and increase workers’ productivity through high-performance, market-leading designs and buildings.
Scope of Experience:
Kurt has worked in as an Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, a Business Owner / Operator and has been with TMAC for over 16 years.
Kurt has worked with municipalities, universities, colleges and manufacturers to implement and audit the ISO 14001 standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). He has delivered the Green Suppliers Network (GSN) process improvement program for multiple companies, a partnership with the EPA, NIST MEP, and OEMs, and was a contributor to the EPA in the development of the Lean and Environment tool kit. He has provided training on “Lean, Environmental and Sustainability” to organizations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Ireland.

Kurt has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
Honors, Awards and Special Accomplishments:
Kurt was awarded the 2005 Industrial Engineer of the Year for IIE – Dallas Chapter. The Governor’s Office awarded Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Environmental Excellence Award for TMAC’s implemented ISO 14000 Environmental Management System. Kurt is also an ISO 14000 Provisional Lead Auditor, USGBC LEED Applied Professional and is certified in GRI Sustainability Reporting.
