Federal Heath Sign Company (http://www.federalheath.com) received the prestigious Performance Excellence award from TMAC in a ceremony that included representatives from State Senator Nichol’s office, officials from the City of Jacksonville, TMAC staff and various customers. Jacksonville Mayor Robert Haberle acknowledged Federal Heath for its contribution to the strength of manufacturing in Texas by declaring this Federal Heath Sign Company Week.
The TMAC award recognizes Federal Heath for its dedication and belief in the power of continuous improvement and its implementation of
Lean. Lean is a strategic initiative that pursues the elimination of waste at all levels of an organization, while changing the company culture to focus on continuous improvement.
Wyma Green, District Director for Senator Robert Nichols, Texas Senate District 3, presented the TMAC award and a Texas flag to Federal Heath’s Jacksonville Operations Manager Neal Sanford. Green said that the “partnership between Federal Heath and TMAC exemplifies how private and public entities can work together to improve the global competitiveness of Texas business.”
According to Jacksonville Operations Manager Neal Sanford, the facility has achieved world class results, including a 50% reduction in utility costs, 62% scrap reduction, 65% inventory reduction and a higher level of customer satisfaction since starting the program. While recognizing current achievements, Sanford also looks to the future, “as we continue our journey to further develop our Lean culture and help strengthen Federal Heath Sign Company’s position as the leader in our industry.”
