The University of Texas-Pan American is offering another opportunitity for middle and high school-aged students to learn more about math and science through hands-on activities at its Striving Toward Educational Pathways (STEP) Camps this summer.
The STEP Camps will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in four sessions: July 12 - 15 and 19 - 22, and August 2 - 5 and 9 - 12. Each session has an open enrollment and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The fee for each session is $250, which includes breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Students will learn from faculty members and instructors who are experts in their fields and represent an array of professional backgrounds. They will develop critical thinking and team building skills, as well as build self esteem while participating in activities including gaming, engineering and robotics.
